Alyces Year 12 Formal

I had the lovely opportunity to take some photos of Alyce getting ready for her Year 12 Formal. Earlier in the year Alyce asked me to make her dress, as in my spare time i dabble in some sewing, so i spent a couple of months slowly working my way through making her gown. The dress was simple, but very elegant- Alyce looked stunning, so so stunning. Hairdresser Jade did a wonderful job in constructing her hair style and Alyce's makeup was self done.

Baby Hannah

Baby Hannah, with those beautiful long eyelashes and cheeky smile, was such a delight to capture!

Baby Izzac!

Izzac was a total cutie! His mum had some super sweet little outfits and he got very excited when he ate his first Easter bunny!

Melinda

Melinda Vernon is an elite long distance runner and all round lovely person. She is also profoundly deaf and wears a cochlear implant, which she received when she was quite young.

Her portrait was framed around comments she had made to me about how she feels like she 'runs in the dark' as she cant hear her competitors or the crowd or her feet on the ground when she runs. Running is Melinda's calling, so we played with that concept, with the literal darkness. The last portrait references a snail like shape, like a cochlear.
